Care and maintenance

HANDLING AND CLEANING BLACK-OUT FABRICS

Black-out fabrics are not washable, nor are burn-out fabrics. Carefully clean these fabrics with a moist cloth. Do not rub! Basically we recommend cleaning by a specialist.

PLEASE NOTE

Do not clean windows with any chemical products which make direct or indirect contact with the shade.

Do not use glass cleaning sprays which contain alcohol. Condensation spots can arise when there is reduced ventilation. We do not take responsibility for any fabric damages caused by cleaning the material or insect excrements. LIFF® fabrics are not designed for outdoor use, therefore, we cannot give any guarantee on fabrics placed in an open or partly glassed roof.

RESPONSIBILITY

The above instructions have been drawn up with the utmost care. Nevertheless we cannot accept any responsibility for cleaning results.

Care instructions cellular fabrics

For regular maintenance, use a soft feather duster or vacuum-cleaner with a soft brush at the lowest speed. Moisture can cause stains that are difficult to remove. Therefore, please make sure the fabric is or does not get in touch with wet or humid elements. Remove insect excrement on the fabric with a soft brush as soon as possible to avoid corrosion of the metal layer. Fresh stains can be removed using a moist cloth with a mild (non-synthetic) detergent. Do not rub, but dap to remove the stain.

HANDLING AND CLEANING CELLULAR FABRICS

LIFF® fabrics are easy to clean! Simply soak the LIFF® fabric in approx. 30˚C water with a mild detergent. Rinse the fabric well and compress the cells together by raising the blind, to push water out. The blind must be hung moist and has to dry closed. During the drying process, raise and lower the blind several times to prevent cells sticking together. Do not iron the blind!

For black-out fabrics we recomment cleaning by a specialist.

PLEASE NOTE

Do not clean windows with any chemical products which make direct or indirect contact with the blind.
